I was once a normal human princess, living in a beautiful castle with my family. Until one evening I had grown bored of roaming the castle walls, I wanted adventure and something new. I decided to go explore a nearby cemetery that had always seemed to call to me, something about it was almost captivating. The abandoned cathedral that stood in the center was the most enthralling to me, what had caused it to be abandoned so suddenly? The cathedral had stood abandoned since before I was born, much like rest of the cemetery. I had waited until much of the castle had fallen asleep, climbing from the ivy that had grown outside of my window I made my silent escape. The cemetery was eerie, my hair standing on end as I explored closer to the cathedral. The full moon reflected off of it’s broken windows, once beautiful mosaics. I had to find a different way into the cathedral, the front door had long since broken... The debris blocking it from the inside didn’t help either. Eventually I found a small crack in the wall, just large enough for me to squeeze into. Inside the cathedral looked as if it was destroyed by a beast, the pews broken and thrown around the building. I could now see what debris blocked the front doors, a large chandelier that once hung in the main room. As I roamed the building I noticed something near the altar, a cellar door that had been left slightly ajar. Somewhere in my gut I knew it was a bad idea to explore further, but I wasn’t going back now. As I pulled the cellar door open and slowly made my way down the stairs what hit me first was the chill, the cool air that contrasted with the warm air outside. As I roamed deeper in to the cellar I noticed it was in fact a crypt, graves and skeletons lined the walls. Covered in cobwebs and dust, a sign of it’s age. Eventually I stumbled upon a large tomb, it’s name faded and worn. My curiosity grew as I crept closer towards it, my mind racing with questions of who’d been sealed down here. As I approached I could see that the lid of the tomb was ajar, but it was too dark to see who or what was lying inside. When I slid the lid open with much effort, I could see it was Lord Ruthven. He had been a nobleman in 1819, a manipulative and cold man. But what threw me off was the lack of aging on his body, a corpse shouldn’t look fresh... And that’s when his cold dead gray eyes snapped open, meeting mine as he suddenly bit into my neck. I woke up hours later outside of the cathedral, to my current friend, Rolthos shaking me awake. And bringing me to his home.
